Create Your Own Purse

Ingredients:
• Some pretty fabric. You could sew this with the same fabric for inside and out, but
it’s best made with two complimentary fabrics. Your fabric requirements could
change depending on the filling for your organizer.
• Very stiff iron on interfacing-in Germany

Directions:
1. Cut out once piece of each fabric- 26 inches by 8 inches.

2. Cut out 2 pieces of interfacing- 26 inches by 8 inches.

3. Iron the interfacing to the wrong side of the fabric pieces.
4. With right sides facing sew the pieces together using a ½ inch seam allowance. Be
sure to leave a 2-inch hole to pull the fabric through.
5. Clip the corners close to the stitching.
6. Turn the fabric inside out by pulling the right sides through the hole.
7. Push out your corners with a narrow tool.
8. Iron the fabric flat.
9. Edge stitch around the entire rectangle.
10. Fold up the bottom edge about 3 inches.
